Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate

Aluminium sulphate, otherwise known as ‘alum’ is a solid or powder that is considered soluble in water. .

Main Applications

Aluminium Sulphate is mainly used in water purification. It is also useful a mordant in the dyeing and textiles arena. It is good for water purification as it assists impurities to coagulate which are removed as the particles settle at the bottom of the tank or container and then become easy to filter.

This product is also useful to reduce PH in garden soil. Groundsmen can add this and reduce PH which will assist in flowers and the hydrangea changing colour.

At JM CLARK we often see this is the construction industry as a waterproofing agent and accelerator in concrete.

This has use as an active ingredient in antiperspirants and is used in the paper industry helping attach formed rosin aluminates to fibres, helping aid water resistance.

As the product is relatively environmentally friendly it has been used in combating slugs
